This week I am very angry

So much has annoyed me over the past few days.

Not just annoyed, but angered me badly.

Firstly we have Keir Starmer signing a 100-year deal with Ukraine to provide  £3bn of British support a year, to be continued indefinitely. Starmer said the UK would increase training for Ukrainian soldiers, provide mobile air defence systems and send 150 artillery barrels made by Sheffield Forgemasters – the first to be produced in 20 years.

Okay....

What about Gaza?

What about our pensioners freezing to death.

What about the disabled who are being persecuted at every turn and being left to die.

What about the single-parent families who can not feed their kids.

What about the hard-working Britons on zero-hours contracts or working three jobs trying to stay afloat.

What happened to Charity Begins at HOME?

He is very quick to say we all have to tighten our belts and make sacrifices while he spends taxpayers' money on everyone but the taxpayers!

Then we have poor Brian Mitchell 72 a Scottish man who had come down to London to visit family who died on 26th December at Stratford station.

The poor man stumbled and fell onto the track and couldn't get back up and this is the report that just came out.

The RAIB report said there were no passengers or staff on the platform when Mr Mitchell fell, at about 14:45 GMT, and the driver of the first train didn't see him "possibly because their level of attention was reduced due to the use of automatic train operation".

The report stated: "The operator may also have been distracted by the presence of another operator who was standing on the platform as the first train arrived at the station.

"The consequences of the accident were made more severe because the operator of the second inbound train to arrive at the platform also did not see the passenger, while the operator of the third inbound train saw something when they were arriving at the platform but did not recognise what they saw as being a person.

"The fourth inbound train was not stopped by a customer service assistant who was present on the platform when it was entering the station, even though the assistant was by now aware that a person was on the track."

Each outbound train departed the station without the drivers noticing "because the passenger was underneath their respective trains before they departed".

What the hell?

I am so angry about this I can't even see straight, his poor family must be raging. I feel so sorry for all who loved him. Plus another paper had the barefaced cheek to say he was drunk, over the drink drive limit. He wasn't bloody driving though was he? He wasn't endangering life was he?

No the train drivers were. I hope they see his face every night for the rest of their lives. In too much of a hurry to get off the train to even do their job.

And lastly, for today anyway, we have the story of Micah LeRoy 19 with Cerebral Palsy.

Micah is non verbal and her mother translates for her!!

OK so thanks to her ever so helpful mother she is now on an IG account called disable_trans_boy and has had her breasts removed. Her Mother said

"Micah can speak on his own, but was aided in this interview by his mom Kathie LeRoy, who was effectively translating his words"

Munchausen by proxy anyone?

What happened to the Hippocratic Oath doctors take?

This poor girl has undergone surgery she could not consent to and can never reverse.

I back her Dad all the way in his fight to win custody of her.

This has to stop.

I will not be silenced!

Americanisms taking over the world

I am at my wit's end shouting at the TV or YouTube videos and am slowly turning into the grammar police.

There are so many things people just say now without thinking and I have had enough. If they are not shortening words or sentences they are adding things that don't belong.

How does this happen? Why do people just go along with it like it's normal? I am so fed up with people saying things like "this needs gone" or "this needs washed" makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up so damn annoying. Have the words "to be" been lost altogether now?

Then we have "what all I bought" when did we start adding all to a sentence that didn't need it?

Another thing that drives me up the wall is "your guyses"
"I need your guyses opinion"
Please Lord will someone tell them that guys is plural
"What do you guys think"

I could go on and on but I will end with just one more thing
That is not a casserole!

I will not be silenced!

Have you been on Reddit recently?

Oh he's an adorable little thing isn't he with his friendly face and welcoming wave.
You read a few subreddits, see how welcoming and kind people are, and think, "Yeah, I could be a part of this."

No don't go in, it's dark and judgy and ageist inside.
Never in my life have I seen so many people who think so highly of themselves, even though they are terrified of their own shadows and need to ask complete strangers how to live. AIO, AITA, should I leave, blah blah blah. I'm anxious, I'm scared, what should I do.
But whoa betide you say or do something they don't agree with (even down to what font people use) they stand and point and laugh at you, accuse you of being a "Facebook Mom" or a "Boomer" like it's a disease.

You are not allowed to like something they don't, have an opposing opinion to them or try and have a sensible discussion about something. They will just shout louder and longer till you have had enough or are too tired of conversing with a brick wall.

The major trope that is rolled out is the "phobia" you're homophobic, transphobic etc etc if you even dare to not see things in total black or white terms. I am not scared of Gay or Trans people why is that the first thing they shout at you now? Oh you must be a crusty anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorist.

It would appear we do not have a choice about anything anymore. Just because someone is wary of letting trans men into women's bathrooms does not mean they are transphobic, it just means they are aware of the risks of the unscrupulous men who will take advantage of the set-up and just wear a dress for nefarious reasons, but you never get the chance to get that far in a conversation they either shout an insult and go away or block you so you have no voice.

You can not say you are not getting vaccinated because you were sick from the last one, or you want to wait and see how it affects others etc. Then you are accused of putting others at risk, but surely if you are vaccinated I am the one at risk. I feel quiet worried for the future of the world when these people will be in charge.

I am older yes, I am grateful I have got to live to this age and hope to continue aging. I have more life experience than you. Just because I am old does not mean I am stupid. I look forward to the day you are old and are being treated how you are treating me and my peers.

Old does not mean stupid.
Thinking they/them pronouns are silly is our prerogative.
Saying there are more than two genders is insane.
Not knowing how to describe a woman is madness.
Not all progress is good.
